Stanley A. Weaver, 79, of Manchester, NH, died July 8, 2008, at his home, after a period of declining health.
Born in Manchester, NH on April 15,1929, he was the son of Charles and Eunice (Hillsgrove) Weaver. He was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mr. Weaver graduated from Manchester High School Central and attended Hesser Business College.
During the Korean War and the Vietnam War, Mr. Weaver served with the Air National Guard and Reserve of the United States Air Force.
Until his retirement, he worked in civil service with the 157th Air National Guard for forty years. In additon, he served as a special officer with the Manchester Police Department for twenty years. He was also a court security officer with the New Hampshire Dictrict Courts as well as a deputy sheriff with the Rockingham County Sheriff Department.
Mr. Weaver was a member of the Blue Kights Motorcycle Club NH I.
He was predeceased by his son, Jason C. Weaver who died September 11, 1996.
Family members include his wife of thirty-seven years, Barbara (Emerson) Weaver of Manchester, NH; three sons, James F. Weaver of Dunbarton, NH, Jeffrey A. Weaver of Pittsfield, NH and Joel C. Weaver of Pittsfield, NH; five grandchildren; two brothers, Harry Weaver of Texas and Victor Weaver of Florida; several nieces and nephews.
Services: Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 8 PM at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, corner of Concord Street, Manchester, NH.
The funeral will be held Friday at 1PM in the funeral home with the Rev. Douglas Rickard, officiating. Burial will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, NH.
