Mark K. Kessner

Transferred from WA II

Mark Kessner

Born - July 5, 1955 Tokyo, Japan Passed Away - December 20, 2001, Puyallup, WA

Mark was a Patrol Sergeant with the Bonney Lake Police Department in Washington State, retiring honorably after 24 years of dedicated service there. He also had prior experience with the Washington Police Departments of Yelm and Roy. Mark was well known for his professional and caring attitude. He truly loved serving the public as a police officer and a K-9 officer.

Soon after Blue Knight Chapter Washington II was formed in 1979, Mark joined up with us. He remained very active with the chapter until his transfer to Heaven I in 2001. Mark was not just a member of our chapter. He was one of the most active members and worked very hard to increase our membership over the years and was always there to volunteer to do any work that benefited the club.

Mark loved the Blue Knights until being severely effected by cancer, went on nearly every ride. He especially enjoyed the cross-country treks to International Conferences, West Coast Conferences, Mount Rainier Rally and sometimes just for a ride to some state he hadn't been to before.

His many friends throughout his Blue Knight and police families will always remember Mark's tremendous sense of humor. He was always prepared to translate restaurant menus for us in only a way Mark could. He was a great practical joker and he loved and lived his life to the fullest.

"Thanks for the memories, Mark, until we meet again………."
