Thinking about the first time I met our Chief Deputy Jim Judd. It was for my job interview for the Sheriff's Office. Chief told me after I explained our plans for moving to Texas, how he loaded up his Hot Rod on a trailer to the back of a U-Haul truck and moved his family from California to Texas...We later on one of our rides laughed about how my family and I did the same thing, none of us knowing if this was going to work out or not but we went for it...We loaded up our Penske truck with the Rambler in tow headed from Michigan to Texas...Good times...Chief pulled no punches and was a tough cookie, kept me on my toes...It was great to get to know him when we went out on our bikes...What a good person that took his job very seriously and really loved his wife Sheri and daughter Linda...He also talked about the grand-kids a lot and you could tell he cherished them...
It is so crazy how life can take such a terrible turn...Get right with God, get right with family, get right with friends...What else do you have? What else matters? Chief Deputy, you are missed by so many...We will ride again...
These pics were taken on one of our last rides together...What a great day...RIP boss...
